Visit VELOKS at SPEZI 2019, on 27 and 28 of April

Come SPEZI 2019 booth A.44 and hear about the VELOKS MK3 trike and try to drive our demo.  The demo trike you can try, emulates the 3 different power and speed levels that you can buy, and you can switch between these to see which one fits your needs the best.  The demo has a 1.5 kWh battery and 11 SRAM chain gears, just like the base model.

The base model (equal to the demo trike) VELOKS MK3 weigh 41 kg, and most of the weight is located below your body, so the trike has a low point of gravity and is therefore very stable.

The VELOKS MK3 has built in torque sensor hidden inside the front crank, which measures the human power produced. The human power produced (instantly, average and total) is displayed on the from display.

The human power can be multiplied from 0 to 50 times, by configuring the computer display in the front. Typically, a multiplier of 1 to 2 times fits the 250w option, 3 to 6 times for the 1000w option, and 5 to 15 times for the 3000w option. If set to high, the driver will get almost no physical exercise, and is set to low, the trike will feel heavy up hill.

The suspension is based upon a set of a-arms at the front (just like the formula 1 cars) installed with two adjustable string shocks, with single adjustable air shock at the rear, and has been designed to provide a smooth, stable and comfortable ride with huge suspension travel.

The steering is using a “tank” steering principle, and is designed to allow a turning circle down to 4 m in diameter. The steering geometric is according to the Ackermann principle, and the handlebars are adjustable to accommodate different arm lengths.

The VELOKS MK3, can be delivered with 5 different battery configurations, 1.5, 2.3, 3.3, 4.1 and 5.0 kWh capacity. The three “small” capacity configurations come in a narrow battery enclosure, and the two large capacity configurations come in a wide battery enclosure. The battery enclosure is removable and waterproof, and besides the battery cells, contains the motor controller, the battery management system (BMS), and optionally various power supplies for things such as mobile phones, lights, automatic gear shift, real time GPS, programmable horn, LED whip, LED strips, etc.
