The battery will typically last 500 charge cycles at which point the capacity is reduced to around 80%. One charge cycle is counted as a full discharge followed by a full charge. So if the battery is charged when it is 50% full, this only count as half a charge cycle.
When fully charging the battery, it is best to use the trike immediately after the charging, as prolonged storage of a 100% charged lithium battery degrades the battery. If the trike needs to be stored for a long time (1-2 months), it is best to ensure that it is only charged between 30% and 80%.
Storing the trike for very long time (2 months+), an intelligent charger such as GRIN Satiator must be connected so that the battery is not discharged to 0% which destroys the battery.
The number of charge cycles are calculated and stored to the center display. If charging to only 80% capacity, the maximum available charge cycles will double. This is possible using the intelligent GRIN Satiator charger.
When charging, the temperature must not be below zero degrees Celsius.
